A1 Rest Stop Wildenhag

Project Description:

A truck stop in the vicinity of Upper Austria at A1 West Expressway will be built. The rest stops Wildenhag North and South in the Vöcklabruck region located at the outer Northern Alps are positioned on both sides of the road; the existing north-bound rest stop will undergo major restorations and expansions.

Fixed overall property: ~15000m²
Gross level property: ~180m²

S 10 Mühlviertler Schnellstraße (Highway), Section Unterweitersdorf - Freistadt Nord

Project Description:
In the first construction phase, the S 10 Mühlviertler Schnellstraße (highway) runs from the end of A 7 Mühlkreis Autobahn up to the North of Freistadt. It will be a 4-lane construction with plans for three tunnels, three underground roadways and five junctions on a distance of approx. 23 km. Within the scope of extensive environmental analyses numerous offsetting measures were defined.

S 1 Vienna Außenring Schnellstraße, Section Vösendorf - Schwechat

Project Description:
The S 1 Vienna Außenring Schnellstraße (outer perimeter speedway) connects A 2 at Vösendorf with A 4 at Schwechat. It was the first large project to be planned in accordance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act. The road features two times two lanes with shoulders and currently has a capacity of approx. 70.000 motor vehicles/24 hrs.

A 23, Junction Landstraße, Access Level

Project Description:
The interchange A23 ASt Landstraße is heavily frequented. The Autobahn entrance ramp is one of the most important exit routes for the city of Vienna and it is the direct connection to the new central train station, which is only 1 km away. I addition, the street-rail line 18 crosses the  Landstrasser Gürtel (Federal road). Currently residential-, office and business buildings are being built on the adjacent approx. 20 hectare Aspanggründe, which have also been taken into consideration in connection to the road-network.

During the entire construction process the permanent establishment of the road- and rail traffic is imperative. Therefore the access level is implemented by applying the cut- and cover method. Numerous installation detours must be implemented and various parties involved in the project have to coordinate. The project is divided into 5 construction phases and a total of 27 traffic phases.

S 33 Kremser Schnellstraße (speedway), St. Pölten North - Herzogenburg North

Project Description:
The section in question required a total restoration. The main traffic lanes of the driving direction toward Krems was milled off, the traffic lanes were reinforced and newly constructed by adding a new and more durable asphalt sub-base and/or a new surface base.  The developing traffic resulting from the asphalt construction was dimensioned due to the completion of the   Donaubrücke Traismauer, which is a future component of the Region Ring, and the increased requirements of the load bearing classification S.

The rail-connection Krems – St. Pölten crosses S33 in this segment, the bridge has been completely renovated.
