Project Description:
The project is located at Argentinierstraße 11 and connected to the dense block perimeter development of Vienna’s the fourth municipal district. The complex borders on Schwindgasse on the north side and on Wohllebengasse on the south side. The elongated property extends far into the courtyard of the block perimeter development and is located in a protected Zone.
The entire complex will be developed and built well into the courtyard consisting of four independent buildings on a scale and dimensions predefined in the development plan. Project Description:
Diverse architectural teams are preparing the plans for construction site segments 6-10. Werner Consult has been commissioned to prepare the plans for the support structures on construction sites 6-10, including general planning for the cross-construction process of the underground parking garages for the entire area. Due to the extraordinary amount of different architectural teams special interface coordination, which is also provided by Werner Consult will be also implemented.
Currently a postal bus garage, which will be demolished prior to construction begin, is located on the property. The entire ground in the area is contaminated at different levels (cyanide, crude oil etc.)
Typical to the alluvial land surrounding the Danube river the construction site features inconsistent and gravel deposits.
All structures planned in this area are high-rise buildings; some of these structures feature 12 stories above ground.

Project Description:
The new Barakat hospital in Teheran is a role model project for this region. With a combination of sophisticated architecture, state-of-the-art medical technology and statically complex systems in one of the largest earthquake zones in the world the high-rise hospital will be built at a height of 80m.
The individual support structure width is 16.8m to ensure sufficient flexibility of the structure . It features a sophisticated combination of steel, steel composite and steel-reinforced concrete products and building technology density. The project will be built within an extremely tight completion deadline . (Planning phase is only 8 months from the initial planning phase up to construction startup).
The challenge here is to build a safe hospital structure based on the previously outlined framework conditions, which will serve as a secure humanity center after the occurrence of severe natural disasters. In addition to the static safety, the object must also be equipped with state-of-the-art technology in the event of crisis, because failing control units could be detrimental.
